Polymorf is an experimental architecture studio based in Malmö. It was founded in 2019 and is currently run by Johanna Jonsson. The studio operates between art, design, and architecture, with a main focus on exploring the intersection of craft and digital fabrication through ceramic 3D printing.
The explorations range from architectural elements and surfaces to furniture and design objects, with a common thread of investigating how complex, textured, and expressive forms can emerge through a combination of procedural design, craftsmanship, and tectonic thinking.
Digital processes are used to generate variation and complexity, while the translation into clay requires a continuous dialogue with the material, where adjustments and decisions are shaped through making.
