3D Printed Bricks

Started 2018
Ongoing exploration

In the production of 3D printed ceramic bricks, in order to achieve consistency in form, we have established several techniques such as the manipulation of flat surfaces to avoid cracking and warping, the implementation of a cross support system to achieve an even shrinkage of large 3D printed objects, and non planar slicing with variable flow rate for angled bricks. In addition to this, we have also experimented with filling the ceramic 3D printed bricks with cement and different types of granulates.
