Reinforced Smocking

By integrating metal and plastic wires into a smocked fabric, we have been experimenting with granting structural properties to textile. Using this technique, the resulting reinforced smocking can be folded and twisted in various ways to generate unlimited self-standing shapes and tent-like structures.
