Pavillion PANKxPolymorf

2025

The Pavilion is the result of a playful collaboration between Polymorf and Studio PANK. Combining our different areas of expertise, we developed a flexible building system, a method that can take shape as furniture, interiors, or architectural elements.

In this system, ceramic joints act as the load-bearing and connecting components, while the wood spans between them, all assembled without adhesives. There are four types of ceramic joints: the plinth, the hanger, the holder, and the dogbone, each unique and fabricated through ceramic 3D printing. The wood elements are CNC-milled with regularly spaced holes designed to accommodate the various joints.

The pavilion was first exhibited at the Greenhouse exhibition during the Stockholm Furniture Fair and was later showcased at Lokstallarna during South Sweden Design Days.
