Äventyret is a proposal for an exterior water park situated by Rickleån in western Robertsfors outside of Umeå, Sweden. The goal of the project, which includes a sauna, open-air swimming-baths, changing rooms, a kiosk, a children’s pool, and an “adventure” swimming space, is to encourage people to play. The proposal is a part of an underlying investigation into the public space of Robertfors, and prior to designing Äventyret a mapping of Robertsfors’ sport, free time, and entertainment related aspects was carried out, acting as a ground for the development of the project.
