Grotten is a proposal for a female urinal space in Kødbyen in Copenhagen, Denmark. The cave-like space is offering possibilities to pee both squatting and standing up with the assistance of Kissen, a disposable peeing device. Through the application of an algorithm inspired by biological growth processes and iterative procedures involving recursive subdivisioning and manipulation of a mesh surface across several scales, we created the intricate space of Grotten.
