Twisted Columns is a series of full scale architectural structures made from mortared together 3D printed ceramic bricks. The shape of each column is derived from the application of several bespoke form generating growth algorithms. The second piece of the series, Twisted Column II, was constructed outdoors on the island of Tjärö in the archipelago of Blekinge in Sweden and was built with a foundation and integrated rebar reinforcement to withstand the harsh coastal climate.
